Choosing a country is the decision that shapes every one after it. Zambia is where the ecological need, the economic case and the execution capability meet.
The module is designed to substitute imported fossil-based energy and synthetic fertilisers with locally produced thermal energy and biochar-based soil fertility.
Biochar-enhanced soils and deep-rooted agroforestry components improve water retention by around 30 percent, reducing climate exposure at farm level. The figure is drawn from multiple independent scientific analyses of biochar in tropical and subtropical soils.
The model links local value creation with demand that already exists — for a range of agricultural crops suited to the region, and for verified carbon removal.

Together with a Zambian team, we founded a local company to hold and run the operation on the ground — based at Farm Nagwaza in Chisamba.
Local ownership is not a compliance detail here. The model depends on land being maintained for decades, which only happens when the people maintaining it have a stake in the company that benefits. Swiss systems thinking, paired with locally grounded Zambian execution.
